Business Talk

This is another long-term project but one that will get your kids excited for sure!

In math class, when you're teaching economics, you can have your kids come up with their own business.  That's right....their very own business!

They come up with the name, the product they're going to sell, etc, etc.  This project is very hands-on and makes students incorporate lessons such as supply&demand, prices, buying&selling, creativity, design, and many other important lessons.

Once the students have finished coming up with their product, making it, and establishing their business, there will be a store where others can purchase other products their classmates are selling.  What would be even better is having the  whole grade participate so that there is more variety and choices of products.

To buy, all students can have an initial amount of money.  Once they start selling, they can buy more if they are good business men and women.

This activity teaches your student entrepreneurship and will probably be in their memory to tell their grandkids that a long time ago they "had a successful business!"
